That Panama retirement visa (you don't have to be in your 60's to obtain) offers so many discounts. 50% off enertainment, 25% off prescriptions, 25% off airline tickets (that got my attention) and so much more.

I left the US six years ago on just my disability. Six years in and it's now switched over to SS. Less then 1300 a month and I'm able to do it. I've lived in three countries and getting ready for my fourth. I wanted to explore and see what would be a good fot for ME. As long as I still draw breath the possibilities are endless.

I have one of those RFID cases because this also means that those who steal people's identities with those itty bitty scanners and pickpocketers will love this. RFID handbags, wallets, and crossbody bags are a good investment. I now keep my driver's license, US permanent visa, and British Passport, and FMM all in the case. However, I've taken two photocopies of everything and saved them up in the cyber clouds lol and sent one to a family member. I think this is going to increase in intensity for a bit. I think after visiting family after the holidays I'll be back to traveling Europe. Great info guys.

Loved it. Sitting here drinking my Malbec that comes from Argentina and bookmarking this vineyard for a weekend trip after my move to Mexico in Aug.

65 female here also and I have been slow traveling off and on for over 45 years. All across the USA x6, Mexico and the past 5 yrs in Europe. Just myself and a dog. Aside from the horrific war currently on the most dangerous place to me is the USA. The US just doesn't understand how much their status has dropped over the years. Racism, gun violence, political unrest, extreme cost of living. It is not an attractive destination to many. The inability to deal with the constant mass shootings is destroying their tourism and international student attractions. Europe and MX are benefitting those gains now. No matter what country or community you go to you have to do your due diligence. Forums, newspapers, media outlets, previous travelers there are so many resources. Have a plan B no matter where you're going.

Definitely considering this versus my other plan. I hear the climate is much better. Moving to MX in Aug.

I'm hearing ya on that long travel. I'm moving to Mexico in 3 weeks and looking at 17 hrs of travel time with a small dog. She refuses to use a pee pad 😏 and barely an hr transfer time in Amsterdam. You're lucky to be able to do the rapid/antigen test. Many areas in Europe want to see the PCR. In the UK it's 140 for same-day and 80 for 24hr. I'm not missing those US prices for food either. Rondell you like those brown spirits, you'd love the whisky here in Scotland. So glad you got to see your family. I haven't seen my daughter or grandson in 3yrs, really looking forward to that. Safe travels.

😂🤣☕ You all went above and beyond. I woke up to this. I'm currently 5 or 6 hours ahead of you so I'll set my timer for the big reveal. Great way to enjoy my coffee with this preview.

Thank you for the tips. I'm in CDMX now 2 weeks in with 2 more to go. I'm doing 1-month hits in various places to see which suits me for a longer-term. I'm one of those older people you mentioned but in the states, Europe, and even Mexico my friends have always been a mix of late '30s to late '60s. For my home life, I like quiet with a bit of outdoor space for my little dog. I'm out walking the dog every day and man that starts so many convos. When I leave the house I like activity, bohemian, independent shops, and cafes, green spaces diverse groups of people. Life in general. There's nothing wrong with having some English speakers around. Especially while you're still learning a new language. I'm checking out Guadalajara, Queretaro, San Miguel although I do like being closer to an airport which the first two offer as does CDMX. Great content.

I spent last year in MX and thought I'd stay but they raised the resident financial requirements to more than my retirement income allowed. Now I'm doing Europe. Keep up the good work and safe travels.

Enjoy what's ahead guys. I've been wandering around with my dog enjoying what Mexico has to offer for a bit now. Heading back to CDMX in a couple days and a couple areas still to see. My tourist visa is up Feb 4th and then I'm heading back to Europe. Places to see, people to visit and the adventures continue. I look forward to your new adventures. Safe travels.

Great video. I arrive in Mexico in 6 weeks still not sure where to settle. CDMX/Lake Chapala/San Miguel de Allende/Queretaro so many choices. What has been your favorite so far? I do know the climate in central Mexico is more to my liking. Glad to see more brothas & sistas moving abroad.

@Mindainda-h3m Do your due diligence regarding earthquake zones and Panama. I've lived all over the USA in tornados, hurricanes, blizzards and heat waves. Three years ago in Mexico City when the 7.5-8.0 earthquake hit. Not to mention parts of Europe and different climates. Also, just because someone has residency somewhere it doesn't mean you have to live there full time.

@YouGotOptions2 I'm based out of Scotland and tickets to other areas are dirt cheap. It's also easy hop on the train and ferry across to Ireland, France, Nertherlands, Belgium and Spain especially with a dog. I am heading to other locals in Europe in the next 60-90 days as I'm a sun lover. Portugal is a hot spot espeically in terms of the cost of living and excellent healthcare for many here. My income is increasing and I could go back to MX in the future although I love the Mediterranean climate (no bugs or humidity) yet the world is a place full of adventure so there is someplace for everyone.
3
@souyunaia I will be visiting a friend there.
2
@icantbelieveya I've been wanting to check out PV. I've been reading a lot about people leaving there and going to Mazatlan for long-term stays however as it's less expensive and more locals vs tourists. I hope to explore both as I know my family would love some beach time when they visit.
2
@icantbelieveya Nice.
2
@icantbelieveya Yes, I've heard about the medical district. They keep it safe for those tourism dollars. Have a fabulous trip.

@TheYarbros It's great to have choices isn't it? I'm living vicariously thru your stomachs lol no way I can eat that much now and burn it off no matter how much exercise I get. I've hit that middle-aged nastiness cause metabolism/post meno mess.
2
Black Indian blood here. African American & Chippewa/Ojibwe which covered Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota. People said peace out and headed up into Ontario and Manitoba Canada.
2
Apryl I'm going to use that idea of the mini pine cones to prop up sunflowers🌻 or any long stems I may have. That whole fridge setup is sooo me 🤣 A cook and a baker...nope I'd weigh 400pds. You've got that youthful metabolism and walking advantage. Great content as always.

Another thing for people to be aware. If planning to travel around Europe check airline regulations for passport acceptance. When I was leaving Europe many airlines were turning away people who had 6 months or less on their passport. Lockdown changes and so much uncertainty can leave people stranded. People are often not getting more than 24 hr notice in some European countries regarding changes. Long renewable times etc. So do not go by a countries guidelines alone. Check airline reg of the country your flying to as well as any layovers.

Got my booster in cdmx as a tourist.
2
Will check out Queretaro. Just saw a video by Backpacking Brunette and she wants to move there lol. She's been in Mexico City for a long time and now traveling around other Mexican states. Certainly an area I've added to my list. Thanks, guys.

HItting Merida at the beginning of Aug. We'll see about that heat and mosquitos. May very well end up your way.

@mlockey1 Thanks. I've heard others mention Guanajuato but don't know much about it. I'll check it out. I have a friend that lives in San Miguel. I joined a couple of groups re San Miguel and am surprised at many of the rental prices. Much more reasonable than I'd expected.

Bringing it forth 🙌🏽

Peace, Safety & Healthcare is where it's at for me. Still exploring Europe and keeping it smooth. Safe travels A&D from another April.

Truth!!! 👏🏼🙌🏽 I'm glad to see connections of people reaching out to one another. I hope this lasts. I've prayed for unity in the states for a long time. However, I remember after 911 how everyone pulled together and that only lasted a few months. FL is also a right-to-work state so I can understand people's fears of getting a low-paying job only to be let go at a whim. Aside from the stimulus checks that went out, there is a child stimulus that has been implemented for those and they receive so much per child. As for no food delivery drivers is Uber eats still operating? Although many Uber drivers left because of low pay, not being valued by the Uber corporation, and no tips from people who don't realize these drivers are paying for their own gas. There are job shortages abroad as well. Europe is feeling it and the UK is in distress due to Covid and Brexit. With many borders being closed to people driving across or walking this has had a great impact on immigrants doing those menial jobs. I've yet to see "white folks" lining up to work in the fields. As for homeschooling, when I lived in the northeast (in the states) many were homeschooling several years ago. For those who still need to work outside the home just go onto your state's homeschooling chapter and see the list of other parents doing this. You can connect with them and often work out an arrangement with another parent to have your child go to them for schooling while you work. I did get the Covid vaccine which was a big deal for me as I don't even get the yearly flu shot. I'm in an area of Europe that spent 10 months of last year in strict lockdown. I wanted to travel again and have not seen my own family in the states for 3 yrs. In two weeks I'm moving to Mexico to at least be on the same continent and be able to fly up to see them. Enjoy your trip guys and stay healthy.

I hear you on that bruschetta. I got hooked while living in Europe. Bruchetta and lockdown did NOT do my behind any good. Worked it off and now really curbed back but dang that's good stuff.

I think if you have allergies or don't eat meat etc you need to mention that the moment you are invited for a meal.
1
@TheYarbros I think then that it's fine to refuse. I understand its a custom in some places to feed everyone, but in doing so the people offering the food should ask if there is anything a person doesn't like. I personally always ask my guest. If I've already got food going I invite people to stay. I put the food on the table and ask them to help themselves. I always say if there's something you don't care for, I won't be insulted just take what you like.
1
@Malkatanja See my answer right above.
1
@TheYarbros I know that's right. Gotta pay to play. I tell myself if I eat while walking it doesn't count as calories. 😅 To eat something someone else has prepared is so good. Keep up the great videos and enjoy your day. Blessings.

Those road trips are no joke. As a single woman I've driven 6x across the US with just my dog. VT-FL, MA-AZ, MA-Vegas round-trip each trip plus out to west coast. Love the representation of small businesses. That Olive shop reminds me of a shop I follow that actually blew up in recognition during Covid "The Spice Suite" in DC. I'm a small business myself and try to always support others. Indie shops are unique and my #1 choice. Fabulous content R&A

I'm a bit biased as I'm from Europe but ya get there and check it out. Get your Europass and ride. I have a permanent residency visa from the US (lived all over the states for so many years, now in Mexico till next summer, and then back to Europe. C19 really knocked those prices down. Check out KLM airlines, they're great and they still serve 3-course meals.

@TheYarbros Any time along the way on your journey feel free to contact me. I may have insight or be able to assist. I know people in different areas and it's always good to know people if you need assistance or suggestions. Be blessed in your travels.

@TheYarbros I didn't either but my landlady took me.

Wow, I am amazed that the healthcare professionals giving the vaccine are NOT wearing masks. I lived in Clearwater for a time and those storms are no joke. Nor is being stuck in Key West during one. Apryl you, your mama, and your sister are gorgeous and do us black women proud. I absolutely loved the wedding venue, a bit of old Hollywood glamour. Your brother-in-law was an absolute "holla" and really got it going. You both looked wonderful. Stay safe. Counting down the days, 9 more and I'm living in Mexico.

I'd wished I'd known you were coming I'd have shown ya some gems. Been here awhile, still available till the end of Jan then off to Europe.

@mimisemptynest2735 m1ost of the11 rfid bags now have straps that can not be cut and the zippers lock. My bag can easily be hidden on my body. There are many items on the market, brunettes, scarfs, I have clothes with inner pockets but it depends on the day and what I'm going lol
1
@mimisemptynest2735 I've lucked out 40+ yrs of travel. I have friends that love it also. I just don't like digging for my things when I need them or the sweat lol. For temp travel, I would not hesitate to use a bralette but my day-to-day life, and I've been slow traveling for years with my dog not too many fools consider getting anything off her pack or neck collar (another hidden pocket) ever. I'm always amazed when women go out in full jewelry and expensive items and are shocked when someone grabs those shinning items. I keep it simple unless with a large group of friends or private driver/Uber etc and even then don't flaunt it. Save travels.
