@ouchka-witit8845 Where did you get this knowledge? I am sure I know more about my country and its history not only from textbooks but also from conversation with real people. You should take your own advice and read about the first years of Soviet Union and its great achievements which were admitted even in the WEST!

@Aleksamson I said about the first years success to show that socialism is not a complete failure and can do a good job for a country under the proper leadership. In 30-s the west had The Great Depression while in Soviet Union there was a huge growth. Industrialisation of a previously peasant country allowed to fight Hitler, after the war speed of recovery was so high that food stamps were removed in 1947 (1953 in Britain) and 1957 the Sputnik was out into space. Does all this story not say about success?

@Aleksamson I agree on cherry picking, but that is the same about capitalism, you can find good and bad in it too. How do you pick "not-failure"? Socialism is a new societal formation which did not last 500 years as did capitalism,so there is not a time today to compare. How we can compare both is on the basis of certain characteristic,for example, employment. Or medical care, or education and so on.

@Aleksamson "Never mind American corporatism"-why? Because it does not help you in your defense of capitalism? Corporatism is the essence of well developed capitalism. You try to find something good and do not want to consider bad. It is not a true comparison. In my opinion, to have a real comparison we need to compare the state of social life in both societies and also the impact on an ordinary person and their future.
