Each generation if the product of the previous generation - YEAH. In the same way, as the grandson bankrupts the family business started by the grandfather, grown by father the generation that was spoiled after a major conflict& grew up with stories OF THAT conflict - they destroy the nation when they get to govern - BOOMERS

  3. THEY MISSED OUT WW1 yeah - they were talking about America - WW1 did not really impact America - have you SEEN the state of Britain...??? Its in freefall collapse...!!! When did it start to utterly and irrevocably collapse 2008 - 90 years after WW1.

  4. IM AN AUTHOR on psychology and the collapse of civilisations - TRUST ME - there is absolutely no need for accelerationism. Western society, especially in the UK [now in freefall collapse] and the USA [In steep linear decline] is collapsing and it absolutely needs NO encouragement. It may well be limited to the UK and the USA as other countries - like the one I live in - can see what is happening and are backing away from the excesses of capitalism and neoliberalism.

  5. Well Im an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations and I read the 4th Turning. My impression was - DOH, obviously. I have no idea why people get all cult-like over it. Economies and civilisations go in cycles - YEAH. Each generation is the product of the previous generation - YEAH. We all know the family business its the grandson bankrupts it. No one is forming a cult around that. The family business is started by the grandfather, grown by the father and the grandson who never had to work hard or know poverty bankrupts it. Its the same with countries - the generation that was spoiled after a major conflict and grew up with stories OF THAT conflict - they destroy the nation when they get to govern cos they see war as a solution and they never suffered in one. I thought it was a very obvious superficial observation about the cyclical nature of history and conflict that was padded out with endless irrelevancy detail. I mean Joe summarised the book in 5 minuts... I moved to Bulgaria 15 years ago - why? Cos it had gone through the collapse in the 1990's and was due to enter the happy optimistic prosperous times, I made that decision long before I read that book...
