Where i live in Bulgaria the buses [brand new battery electric] are so frequent they dnt even publish a time table, you just go and wait for the next bus, its a maximum of 7 minutes and its a flat rate of $0.80c no matter how long your journey

WHERE I LIVE IN EUROPE I can get everything I need for day-to-day life within 400 yards of my apartment - on the busy bustling little high streets we have ALL OVER the wider city. Maybe 1 time per month I have to go into the city on the bus - 80 cents on a brand new electric bus that runs every 5 to 7 minutes.

COMMUNIST COUNTRIES DID NOT HAVE CARS because they were too poor to afford cars - personal transport was NOT in their ethos or plan. Its like saying that the USA does not have high speed rail cos it is too POOR to have high speed rail - RUBISH, the USA has a personal transport ethos. I live in the ex USSR and this morning 100 people were waiting for the company bus to pick them up - FACTORIES provides the transport to get you to work EVEN NOW
