  44. BESPOKE TAILOR HERE this is what you do - BUY SECOND HAND - it is self-selecting for quality. IF a garment is good enough to be sold after being worn and washed several times - its quality. literally everyone I know, every client I have buys second hand. 2nd thing - get ALL your clothes altered to fit you perfectly be a local seamstress, they exist you just have to find them. Rich people don't look rich cos their clothes are expensive - they look rich cos their clothes FIT. BTW - its way easier to make a too large fit than a too small fit so buy oversised 3rd thing - NATURAL FIBERS - wool, linen, silk, cotton, and I would include viscose / rayon. Two reasons - synthetic fibres are PLASTIC you are wrapping your body in PLASTIC and it leaches hormone-mimicking chemicals into your body which is BAD. But it is not as durable, it does not breathe with your body, its just bad. 4th thing - buys style not fashion - fashion changes, style is eternal. I have 50 year old jackets that get compliments every time I wear them. 5th thing - REPAIR YOUR CLOTHES - or get your seamstress to repair them - if they are altering your clothes to fit there will be a little extra fabric in the seams they have taken in - this can be used for repairs...!!! 6th thing - You. want to get to a point where your annual spending on clothes is NILL - you have everything, its well maintained, its quality so when you come to buy a new pair of trousers you CAN spend $800 having them made by a tailor cos that's the only thing you are buying this year. Or $500 on a nad knitted sweater, or $1,100 on a Rick Owens peace you love. Hope this was helpful PLEASE STOP buying fast fashion. PLEASE.
