Everyone did - except the corrupt politicians and ex politicians in Germany LITERALLY working for Gazprom. I spoke to lots of ordinary germans that thought it was idiotic.

@user-op8fg3ny3j YES energy should be rationed - rich people use less then the price for ordinary people comes down - that's how rationing works. I always find it sad I have to explain very basic concepts to people

THIS IS THE BEST POSSIBLE NEWS sure its going to hurt - but it FORCES a long term renewable / nuclear solution to happen ASAP The climate crisis is an example of how good we are at dealing with creeping threats - VERY BAD - humans are amazing at solving massive imminent problems. Humans are also amazing at procrastination with creeping problems. In 2 years' time, the people of Europe will have them in the rearview mirror and the continent will be WAY better because of it. >>> When the Russians cut off west Berlin over night we initiated the Berlin Airlift, one of the greatest human achievements ever. If Russia had put up customs posts and made it harder and harder over a decade - they would have starved West Berlin and got it.
