  1. You cant have wireless coms at that depth - you would need an umbilical - umbilicals get snagged so they are a safety hazard. BUT - you can have a comms-only fibre optic umbilical that has an explosive decoupler so if it gets snagged you blow the umbilical and return to the surface -BUT its money, it makes every dive more complicated as you have to wind in the umbilical as they rise back up, it can get damaged recovering in rough seas. A PROFESSIONAL operation would have one, a professional operations would have a backup ROV to assist and a professional operations would have a controller made of space grade engineering with 2 levels of redundancy
