  5.  @vice.nor.virtue  - Well all I can say is when I worked for a petrol station in 1988 we had a list of known forged serial numbers and we always had to check the last three digits of every large note. £10 and above was large in these days. If it were £10 I dont think you would have any problem - but the British are weird about large notes. I live in Europe now - we have €500 notes here and €100 are very common. But when I lived in the UK a £50 was like a SPECIAL THING

  7.  @vice.nor.virtue  - REALLY...??? You think you can pass a brand new £50 note in the UK and the shopkeeper wont give it a close look...?? As far as I can remember its almost impossible to spend a £50 note in the UK - shops wont take them.
