@SS33333 When the water companies were privatised, they all sacked the men that wandered around the hillside, and cleared out the culverts. It could be done more "efficiently" with a tractor and hydraulic powered brush. Only it does not work, it clears the culvert but these old guys were doing something besides cos the heavy rain just overtops the culvert and causes erosion. By the time it became a problem all the old guys had died and there are now lots of trials underway to find out what the guys did that slowed the rain on the hillside to give it time to get into the culverts and into the reservoir. This is whats causing all the "droughts" when we have lots of rain We should never let trades and knowledge die...
