THEY WERE DRINKING EVERY DAY AT WORK...!!! I worked at a newspaper in the late 1980's and its a culture of going to the pub at lunchtime and having 3 pints then drinking in the afternoon... Boris Johnson was a reporter in the news industry at this time, and he has clearly brought this culture to the UK government. THIS is actually much WORSE than just having a party and ignoring the rules cos 50% of people were p!ssed 50% of the time. THAT is why the UK is int he terrible mess its in.

@elss8717 - the thing is - this will be their excuse "it was the culture" - like that makes it better. It does NOT. Being p!ssed at 3.00pm every day at work is one thing if all you are doing is selling advertising space in the Yorkshire Evening Post - if you are running the country in the middle of a pandemic - PEOPLE DIE. And they have done.
