@M-dv1yj Yeah the AQI for Beijing is 44 right now. its 94 in New York. I know as a Westerner you dont think things can improve in a country - cos nothing ever improves in the west. But the thing about "developing countries" is they - develop. so please feel free to write a history book about what Beiking used to be like as kids today won't believe it. EDIT - Im not being sarcastic, write your memories down.

@stanvanillo9831 I noticed she said you are not limited to one visit, I guess this is to stop over-tourism. We have to adopt this globally - we cant have people in Spain and Greece unable to line in the city their family has lived in for 300 years because ever apartment is an aibnb, and every place is destroyed due to over-tourism.

@M-dv1yj "Ya do know YouTube is illegal in China'. OK lets be clear - its NOT illegal. Their internet is a Chinese internet and YT is not ON that internet. But its not illegal to watch YT in China

@rob2vog How do you get that - Im genuinely curious - I don't belong to either country so I am neutral. Am3ric4 has great landscape but China is objectively better. Am3ric4n cities are collapsing, full of homeless people and dirty, Chias are staggering modern next generation masterpieces. Am3ric4 has no history or culture to go look at - China has 3,000 years of civilisation. In terms of "beautiful countries" to visit Id give China a 9.5/10 and Am3ric4 a 3.5/10 Its objectively not even close.

I LIVE IN A "COMMI BLOCK" in Bulgaria - its a little bit similar to this - very communal - the old people look after the kids whilst the parents work, people cook food outside... Im British and lived in a village in the UK, but I never felt MORE like i live in a village than here.

@wbwright79 Ive travelled independently in 55 countries over 30 years, Ive been a millionaire, Ive been homeless, Ive written 4 books on psychology and the collapse of civilisations. I have many Am3ric4n friends - its not my fault the country is in the collapsed part of empire - the part technically known as "Interconnected cascading systems failure" I can not be held accountable for reality. My home country is also in this, the UK, and it too is a collapsing *** h0l3. On the up side it has history and culture the US does not. when the only thing you have to offer the world is economic success and nice landscapes, when the economic success ends you are left with very little.

YOU HAVE AN AMAZING life ahead of you as a travel reporter...!

I COULD NOT I just could not walk along that path. I am scared, just watching it on my iMac

The Word Attitudes Study was just released - it never gets any media attention cos it doe snot report what the west wants to hear. China comes to for almost every thing including trust in the government, believe that the government is looking after your interests etc. One thing it does badly in is trust in the media - so its not like its propaganda. People in China LIKE being in China way more than we westerners like being in our countries...
