The problem with this question is everyone assumes they would be living in a nice house in 1900 - when in reality they would likely be sharing a basement with another family and working 14 hours a day in a highly toxic environment that damaged your health.. They tended not to film the working class and in 1906 there really wasn't very much of a middle class.
