  74.  @realhorrorshow8547 ALLOW ME TO EXPAND Britain is utterly bankrupt and in freefall collapse and no amount of Labour will fix it. Labour are complicit in not talking about it as they know they will be in power in a few months and THEY will have the problem. The Tories have hollowed out the Uk like the Oligarchs hollowed out the Russian army. To give you an idea - YOU NEED TO SPEND £293 BILLION ON NEW SHCOOLD NOW...!!! And thats just schools - you have not built or maintained anything since 1975. The total bill for things that NEED replacing in the next 10 years is over £1.5 Trillion and you are arguing about £28 billion for green stuff as if that wil make any difference to anything. You have been living by selling off the things you had, the companies, the utilities, the council houses, the victorian schools and hospitals, the school playing fields - and now you have NOTHING LEFT except the broken sh!t no one wants to buy and NEEDS maintaining or replacing - 38% of the UK public buildings are PAST their usable live and 3.3% more go past that every year cos you only build 30 year life buildings. 300 Council homes evacuated in Aberdeen - this will be a WEEKLY thing over the next 10 years as unusable buildings start to collapse. This is the UK's 1991 USSR moment. NOTHING Labour can do can save you. The UK is a completely broken basket case in the middle in freefall collapse and you are arguing about protestors - why? WHY? Cos both parties know there will be food riots in the future - protests on a scale you have never seen - THATS WHY THE PROTEST BANS ARE GOING THROUGH AND WHY LABOUR ARE NOT OPPOSING THEM...!!! Labour want the protest bans JUST as much as Sunak cos they are going to be VERY handy when there are 2 million in London demanding food...!!! You have 10 to 15 years of continued collapse and increasing hardship before things start to improve. Im an author on psychology and the collapse of civilisations - this is my job.

  148.  @papachis9535  "Interest rates went up from 6% to 16%". on your £20k mortguage...? " The mortgage was crippling and I survived on Pot Noodles". YOU HAD A MORTGAGE - YOU COUL;D AFFORD A HOUSE this is typical boomer thinking, I had it slightly tough so kids to day are axiomatically better off. THEY CANT GET A MORTGUAGE - they dont have the LUXURY of eating pot noodles to pay the mortgage cos a mortgage is completely unaffordable. Your house was what? 2.5 X your salary 3X. Its now 9 to 15 X Im 53, so Im between both of you - I know that you guys had it easer than we did, and the kids today have it MUCH MUCH harder. Now does that mean that everyone had it easy - obviously not. My father was an engineer at a power station and they were going to buy that £2,500 house and then he got injured at work, we moved into a little rented house next to my grandparents so they could help look after the kids and one thing led to another my father's injury stopped him ever getting back to work - 15 years of a legal battle to get compensation - I went to school in black trash bags too poor to afford coats. We never moded out of that rented house and my inheritance will be £0.00p. YES people had hard times. That house, the Mount it was called sold last year for £1.2 million. But for ONE accident my family would have been GIFTED BY FORTUNE £1,997,500 pure profit. YOU as a boomer generation had it the easiest of ANY generation in history - that is an objective fact. BOOMERS DID NOT WORK HARD FOR THEIR WEALTH - THEY WORKED HARD FOR THEIR LIVING - this is not the same thing. "Sometimes you have to walk in a mans shoes to understand his mind and experience." I guarantee you that 95% of Gen Z today would LOVE to walk in your shoes - would yu walk in theirs? Earning £25k and a house costing £300k??? £2,250 a month on rent. 3 yers salary = a DEPOSIT...???
