@ashroskell What in my reply ever led you to think I took it personally? I was baffled and confused. "“Not really,” what?" Your entire OP, comment, its just a verbose word salad of general observations with no actual insight into anything. You started off by saying "Historically, Labour gave up after Neil Kinnock and started..." implying that the idea is to acquire an understanding of why the left has little direction and changes it frequently and loses it way, I tried to assist with this [pointing out it is a systemic problem]. But having re-read it I now see this was NOT your purpose, your purpose was to demonstrate your depth and breadth of knowledge to the admiring public. I now understand our confusion.

ABSOLUTELY it is a truth universally understood that Labour can lose an election for any random reason - a bacon sandwich, a trip on a beach. I mean you would think this was satire but they literally lost elections over these things...

@ashroskell not really, Lenin was having these exact same arguments in 1916... It's a function of been on the left of politics, you're aiming for the future and the future has infinite possibilities. Each person chooses their own version of the future that they wish to head towards. On the right they want things to go back to the way they were when people were children, that's one message very simple entirely uniting.

@ashroskell - no I'm not. You are a scribe the problem is specifically to actions taken by the Labor Party in the last two decades blah blah blah. When in fact it is a systemic problem of being on the left of politics. " You’re commenting on the attitudes of voters, as you see them," NO Im not doing this in any way whatsoever, I never mentioned the attitude of voters. Im talking about the positions of the politicians and activists. In fact are you replying to me or have you tagged the wrong person, because this has nothing to do with what I said?

@ashroskell - I don't feel one way or the other really. So have a nice day, enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
