  2. This was my comment: many young people would be in favour of National Service - my sister 16 year old asked all his mates and they were all for it....!!! If you live in a village in North Yorkshire where the average house is £750k and the Boomers call the police if you sit on a bench outside their house and there is 1 bus a DAY to the nearest town - a year playing soldier is VERY attractive. The issue is, even the 16 year olds know if the Tories WON they would not deliver it. They might be bored, they are not stupid.
