  1. I spent some time in that part of Africa, the precautions you have to take for the various evil flies and parasites are quite extensive. Don't dry wet towels on the balcony, dont sit on wet sand / mud. I remember a mechanic working on our car - he had worms crawling out of his ankles and eyes... Mango worms are my literal nightmare - and anyone reading this, Im warning you - don't google mango worms.

  2. I remember my dad helping me make my first camel in the garden shed by oil lamp in the 70's. It took for ever as it was only an 8x6 shed in Yorkshire so you had to take your camel outside to work on it and then being British would start to rain and you had to take it apart and get it inside the shed right quick like or your camel would go all soggy. Happy days.

  4. YEP - we always used to put planks down at the farm if we were shifting stuff over ground that was unpaved. It was easier to take the time to put 10 planks down than battle a wheelbarrow all day long.
