THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS if this ever happens to you, get to lower level, and lie on the ground until it passes, just moving around and disturbing the air can be enough to trigger an avalanche breakdown - lightning. If you have a car - as they do - get in the car, cars are sare in lightening strikes.

@wieslawpoplawski3427 - Yep you can get it on boats as well - which is why I know about it. Its even more dangerous for a boat as its likely the boat that will be hit - THAT is a problem. You have a wire that runs from the Kiel to the top of the mast and ends in a wire brush to try and diffuse it.

@BADt0OtH Same thing happened to a couple of YouTubers in America last week - they are now dead. Its not "just" static electricity it is the feeder spikes for the lightning - the lightning is going to strike one of those discharging objects. Maybe shut up when you don't know what you are talking about hey...?
