@j.c4007 My bleak theory is a very disappointed and angry population will will go to the extremes of the politcal spectrum for radical answers - the left and the right. Only they can't GO left cos Starmer and the media destroyed the left when they destroyed Corbyn and chucked everyone out of the party politically left of Tony Blair. So they only have one place to go FASCISM. Its kinda how fascism got started in Italy and Germany. The centrists destroy the left on behalf of the rich, they fail and the angry population go to the right. Failed centrist solutions tend to lead to fascism

@johnnytsunami3695 I'm not insulting him - I'm insulting MAGA. Are you Am3ric4n by any chance...??? [Just for the record, as you are not very good at this, that is an insult]

@Shinobi_Vii I'm being sarcastic about MAGA. He is obviously incredibly well qualified. But we all know the job should really have gone to a f4t hill6illy with a red hat!

@nataconly8685 I could not agree more. When I first moved here I thought they were so lazy. No one does overtime, no one works late to get the job done. They get home ASAP and are in the park playing with their kids. It took me 10 years to unlearn the programming and see that I as the idiot, thinking my unpaid overtime in the UK "to get the job done" to "be a hard worker" was just idiotic bullsh!t - its NOT a moral virtue to be hard working and I know 99.5% of British people will not agree, but trust me its not and only protestant westerners and the Japanese think it is. Over here, [traditionally] the good father is the ones that spend the most time with his family, not the one who earns the most money. We have genuinely been fed the fantasy that is WE work harder and make the COMPANY more successful that will be better FOR US in the long run. In reality, they will fire and re hire you on a zero-hours contract.

@jmc6687 No sorry dude thats not whats going on here. Here they build LOTS of new property and in the Uk you build very little in order to keep the tory voting boomers property priced high.

@thekiteboatparty3568 - Its quite easy to move here - there is a bit of a labour shortage and a growing economy. There are lots of different qualifying criteria - if you have an income of about €1k a month you can get a 5-year visa. If you have a job here. If you have a needed skill. If you invest I think €250k in property. Basically, if you are any use to the economy you can move here.

IM AN AUTHOR on psychology and the collapse of civilisation and this is MY advice - form local social cooperative networks. Hoping things will get better is a mug's game, this is the BIG ONE. Those with networks around them will survive WAY better than those alone - especially if you live in the city. Destitution is a "new normal" and it will hit the bottom 50% or more of society. If you have a garden, plant food, share it wiht those in your network who don't have it... BUILD COMMUNAL BONDS - its the way through this.
