@wakey87 WOW - bad example - Japan is selling vast USD reserved to keep the system together, its on the very brink of collapse. The Yen is haemorrhaging value. If this is your line of argument you NEED a better example - maybe try Argentina...???

Their family, the theatre, the faces, the F1, the golf club, the banking system, the property they own, the people they rely on, the tailors, John Lobb, the restaurants they go to...

@rudolphteperberry3888 Well I would 100% erode thier wealth. BUT as Garry points out - the assets are in the UK, if they are taxed in the UK well the person MIGHT THINK "i sell up and invest in X country where I wont be taxed". OK - Well we are going to get the capital gains tax off you AND someone will buy them...!!! There wont be 30% of the UK just unowned. what Garry is saying is you tax the revenue from the wealth AT SOURCE COUNTRY. If the money is mad ein the UK - yu p[ay UK tax on that money.
