Only he was not trolling, he was and is a bungling incompetent idiot and yes you 100% over-interpreted what he said - if you find the JOB clip about the emergency take and the "forgive me forgive me" it proves he was not trolling - short version - 20 seconds of silence and the emergency take clicks in on live broadcasts cos the system thinks it has lost the connection. All politicians and celebs know this. His "forgive me" bit was to STOP the emergency tape kicking in. He had lost it and knew it was failing. EDIT: credit to you though for accepting the possibility you might be miss reading it. In today's world its almost impossible to find someone who is not 100% sure they are 100% correct on everything.
