  2. I travelled independently in 55 countries, over 20 years before deciding where to settle down in 2009. There were quite a LOT of countries on the "possible" list. Only 2 on the "NO WAY" list. 1) Was Senegal 2) was Am3ric4 This was 2009 and I hear that Senegal has improved dramatically since and is now a lovely place, obvioulsy Am3ric4 has not improved dramatically since 2009, quite the opposite. Reasons the US was an absolute NO WAY: 1) No healthcare 2) No walkable cities / car dependence 3) No sense of "society" everyone an individual 4) Gun5 5) Work life balance was utterly unacceptable to me 6) Level of homelessness Incidentally, I chose Bulgaria, it turned out to be very much the right decision - always better to live in a country on the UP side of the economic graph than the DOWN side
