China is opposed to the use of nuclear weapons in a way Westerners can not imagine. China is a 3,000 year old country and it FULLY intends to be around in another 3,000 years. Western culture is about getting to the end of the next election cycle and making a profit this quarter, China is more about getting to the next millennium.

I moved to Bulgaria, an ex communist country, fully believing they would all be super happy about the end of communism and the wonders of capitalism - i was VERY wrong. Most of them liked communism and missed it and NO they did not thank the west for bankrupting the USSR - people in some parts of the USSR sold their children into slaver for food after the fall of the USSR...
