HERE IN BULGARIA lawns are a statement of wealth - "look I can afford this patch of useless unproductive land that actually costs money and labour to keep it unproductive" I'm guessing most countries lawns started off as a status symbol.

THE SINGLE BEST TED TALK IN THE HISTORY OF TED TALKS....!!!

In the 1970's my mother was a zoologist at Leeds University in the UK. Her friend there worked on global warming as they called it then. I was taught about it when I was 6 or 7 as just a matter of basic fact.

@conormcmenemie5126 "Then warming inspired by the hole in the ozone layer." It was NEVER warming inspired by a hole in the ozone layer - warming is a greenhouse gas issue the hole in the ozone layer was UV-B radiation issue. Two completely separate problems. If you dont know such a BASIC thing as that - Im really not going to read the rest of your comment. Please dont reply - go read a book. You are one of these people who absorb and regurgitate large words with zero actual understanding.

@audreymuzingo933 - That's interesting.... I lived for 2 years in THE worst apartment in the WORST block in the WORST part of the WORST zone of the city here in Burgas Bulgaria. It was the bottom floor bottom corner apartment next to "gypsy land" the encampment of Roma Gypsies on the outskirts - on many occasions bricks would be thrown through the windows at 3.00am... so I know what roughing it is like LOL

@TheSaneMongrels - I'm literally a communist and I laughed...

Im 54 and it really annoys me when people have a go at young people. I grew up in a very poor family but at 24 I bought a house for 2.5 X my salary. THAT was totally normal then. WE HAD IT EASY - AND THE BOOMERS HAD IT EASIER THAN WE DID...!!! I would not be 20 today if given the choice and that is terrible. Id rather be 54 than 20.

YEP - Im the same. I have a microscopic impact on the environment. I am personally as prepared as I can be for what is coming. The one great thing about climate change is - it will make believers out of everyone eventually

@TheBinaryWolf Because the "ice cap" on Mars is solid CO2 not water and CO2 sublimates, it turns directly from a solid to a gas, especially in a low pressure environment like that of Mars. The loss of the atmosphere on marse due to mars not having a magnetosphere means the atmospheric pressure is extremely low and the CO2 is sublimating away in a manner similar to the tail of a comet. These are like saying why does a fire extinguisher put out cold gas if a stove boils a pan or water - they are two completely different mechanisms. Now what you are going to do is look for another reason to not believe, having had this one very thoroughly explained to you. Climate change is real - it is man made - and it is basically too late to do anything about it and you will see utterly unbelievable changes that could have been avoided.

I HAVE A FORM OF UBI Im an author and my past books sell enough to just about pay my bills - THIS WAS THE SINGLE MOST LIBERATING EVENT IN MY LIFE I don't have to work tomorrow to pay the bills. Ive done a university program, Ive leant to tailor historical suits, and Ive taken 2 years off with long covid and not had a mental breakdown as I would have if I had to work to pay the bills.

NOT if you are a MAGA supporter of the global equivalent

@markymarksthirdnipple8305 - Emma, that's an unusual name for a Bulgarian. Which region are you from?

@dominikkhilji808 - Interesting.

@TheBinaryWolf Dude - The ionizing radiation released during solar flares includes x-rays and gamma rays. They dont heat the earth as they are deflected by the magnetosphere or they are stopped by the ionosphere. " Who you believe largely depends on your political bias." NO - no it does not. It does in countries with a media owned by Rupert Merdoch - but globally there is not difference. What you will do now is look for another reason its not human-created. Despite the detailed description I have given as to why its not solar flairs.
