  1. Actually, it does not. The more professional you are, the more at the forefront of your field you are, the more often you are wrong. You have a hypothesis and then you set out to disprove your hypothesis. If you can not disprove it, you send it for peer review where you ask your industry peers to point out what you did wrong and what you missed. THEN if you pass that you finally get it published and you were right. It seldom happens. You are wrong way way more often than you are right. Its not a sign of a "big man" its a sign of professionalism.
