@johnc206 - Neil Oliver is shall we say "eccentric". My issue is mostly with GB News which is incredibly divisive, it exists to sow division and hate in society and profit from it. When a respected Doctor like John Campbell goes on there it gives legitimacy to the racists and hate-filled people that their nasty views are valid and legitimate. Its the same reason toothpaste adverts have people in white coats - we respect doctors and we accept what they say mostly without question. So for a far right-wing hate-filled channel to have a respected doctor on implies legitimacy.

@kerryeagle941 - BINGO - I literally wrote these words this second. "I call it “conspiricytheroyfication” Or “rightwingification” where a person starts a great YouTube channel but they notice they get more views and subscribers on the videos that are right-wing or conspiracy leaning so they do more of that cos it gets more clicks. Eventually they end up TOTALLY wrapped up in the bubble of the right wing / conspiracy nut job end of the ecosystem. The lucrative end. ---§--- Im an author and I was outlining the premise for an article on the subject.

@pmoran7971 - Well I dont know. But I have a deep dislike of divisive channels, especially ones increasing the hate in society. Appearing on there lends credibility to them. Having a respected doctor on there implies "Yes your hatred of immigrants is valid, this is a valid channel, look we have a respected doctor on our hate-filled channel, therefore being full of hate is normal" Look at the state America is in due largly to Fox News...??? Does the UK want to be like that, the left and the right LITERALLY hating each other so much they want each other dead??? And the irony is, they are talking about mental health...

@johnc206 - You are almost certainly not going to become a radicalised nut job. The reason it is dangerous is it gives legitimacy TO the radicalised but jobs that their cause is justified, their position is justified. They don't look at the world as you do, they don't look for information and discussion, they only look for validation that what they already believe is true. This is why Jordon Peterson is so dangerous in the USA, he makes money by telling the right wing fringe that they are correct to hate women and they are correct to hate immigrants, all wrapped up in a legitimate sounding professional image of a psychologist. Its the same thing that allowed racism and slavery to become industrialised after Darwin allowed "scientific racism". These people are always looking for legitimacy for their hideous beliefs.

Im not in favour of censorship - I object to Dr Campbell agreeing to be on this channel and lending legitimacy to the otherizing and dehumanizing. They had a segment today apparently where they were advocating for drones to drop darts on the people crossing the channel in rubber boats...
