Homemade air cured sausages given to me by one neighbour and homegrown home picked vegetables from another on my plate right now. Both a thankyou for the little favours and help I have given them - cos that's what we do here; we help each other. You dont need a flash new car and 50" OLED TV when you feel loved by your community. No wonder Thatcher destroyed it...

  10. THE OTHER THING YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER is the exodus of EU workers has NOT stopped... And they can not be replaced. My friend finished a 5 year contract in Jan and she is coming back to Bulgaria. I have another friend who will be back before Christmas. THATS IT. They have done their 3 or 5 years and saved up their money and they are LEAVING. And this will continue with thousands more every month. Only now, the new ones are not replacing them. Britan was NOT for life...!!!

Alone in its pathetic racist future in the 1950's or whenever it is they fantasise about, ruled over by posh toffs from Eton in the way that makes them feel secure and that all is well with the world. Slaving 20 hours a day down the Bitcoin Mine if they are lucky and thanking the Chinese mine owner for the privilege... England has NEVER gotten over the loss of the empire, it seeps through our veins, only lanced by emigration and not to an enclave of Little England in Spain. It is utterly tragic to observe from afar. The desperation to still feel part of something special is as obvious to outsiders as a fresh dog sh!t in your living room, and about as appealing... Its a desperation so strong they voted for Brexit - economic doom but the chance to feel like the big boy again for a few fleeting moments before they die. Like a drug addict committing suicide with a known overdose, unable to face the reality of the world they inhabit - but determined to go out on one last high…

Cos the thing the elites of the UK know is money is meaningless when you have enough of it - CAPITAL ASSETS is what builds and maintains generational wealth. That is why the price of houses and land are so high right now, they are converting cash money into capital assets at a rate never seen in history. So they NEED a crash to bring the price down whilst they snap it all up... The collapse IS THE POINT, its snouts in the trough for the next grotesque gorging of British assets. So they HAVE to go the Tories. Not must go; HAVE TO GO or the UK will never be a democracy again in our lifetimes and the life of the working person will be that of a peasant.

  22. ITS TURE...!!! they kidnapped me and forced me to live in this sunny [30ºC right now] beach side apartment block where my rent is 25% of my part time salary... The brand new hospital I needed yesterday is within walking distance cos they are distributed for convenience, the schools are distributed, the political parties are government-funded and they have proportional representation.   24. SO YOUNG WORKING PEOPLE on low salaries will pay more tax to ensure that wealthy Tory voting old people get to leave their £1 million houses to their children. WHILST the people pay for that cant afford a house... You don't pay NI on: Rental income Share dividends Pension income Capital gains Gifts Wealth Interest received If you are over 65 If you earn over £50k You ONLY pay it on wages earned for work done... So it specifically hits younger working people on lower incomes and this specifically BENEFITS old people with very very expensive houses who want to leave them to their kid and not pay extra tax on them... In other words - it takes from the Labour voter and gives to teh Tory voter VERY SPECIFICALLY BUT you can bet they are too thick to work this out

  33.  @lat1419  -The greatest trick the Tories have pulled is convincing people that £30k is a NORMAL salary - people on £50k are well pad and greedy if they ask for more. I have NO IDEA how they managed this. My last salaried job in the Uk was 2002, I was a sales person for a company in York. My salary was £65 - which was a good salary, but not banker level by any means. But that would be £115k in todays money, but when I LOOK for jobs of that level today they pay £50k Salaries have gone DOWN in many instances, in £ for £ terms, not just not rising with inflation but actually DOWN. Even if the UK opened up to freedom of movement tomorrow - no one would come cos the wages have risen SO MUCH in Eastern Europe - here in Bulgaria 550% since 1990. The average wage was 400 leva a month when I moved here in 2009 - its now 2,000 leva a month.

Poland will pass the UK for the average wage of a £ for £ basis in 2030. The average Frenchman will be twice as rich on twice the wage is the average Brit in 15 years.

  38. IF YOU PRINT YOUR OWN CURRENCY and that is not linked to gold - then the only purpose of taxation is to control INFLATION. This is how it works. You decide what you want to spend money on. You print that money. You spend that money. The injection of cash devalues the currency/causes inflation so you TAKE BACK that money and you destroy it to control this. You will note - BORROWING DOES NOT FEATURE - national debt is an unnecessary fiction and its just a way of giving rich people free money >>> The idea that you can only afford what you can tax is utterly preposterous cos you literally have a MONEY PRINTER. when inflation was 1% we could have been massively spending on public services and running inflation at 3%. Why didnt we...??? TO KEEP INTEREST RATES LOW, this allowed companies to borrow to buy back shares, this makes wealthy people lots of money, and to keep house prices going SKY HIGH to keep home owners voting Troy. 100% of government spending is discretionary - a COUNTRY does not in any way operate like a household budget. Imagine winning a credit card with an infinite limit you never had to pay back - but if you use it too much the price of things goes up a bit... THAT is modern monetary theory.

I think the expectations of Millenials have been so crushed they don't demand as much as we used to, they are just grateful not to be driving an Uber on zero hour contract. And I certainly came up through the ranks - started commission only at the Yorkshire Post selling advertising space as a school leaver.

But just LIKE the Tory govt in the UK the previous corrupt government introduced lots of legislation to make it way more difficult to get rid of them. We do have proportional representation, so it is at least democratic - unlike the UK. But yeah it took 3 goes to get rid of the corrupt lot. The covid situation is a direct result of not having a government for 10 months. We were doing AMAZING - until we had no government. So on the whole it does have society. It now has a NONE corrupt government. It has PR. And most importantly its not stupid enough to leave the EU - so things are looking very bright for the country.
