ITS TURE...!!! they kidnapped me and forced me to live in this sunny [30ºC right now] beach side apartment block where my rent is 25% of my part time salary... The brand new hospital I needed yesterday is within walking distance cos they are distributed for convenience, the schools are distributed, the political parties are government-funded and they have proportional representation. PLEASE HELP - I NEED RAIN AND OPPRESSION

@jyvben1520 They force me to eat locally grown vegetables every day. Its simply inhumane. What Brit can eat a whole vegetable???

@Steve_Coates - My neighbour brought me figs from her garden - they are animals I tell you. [actually, that was last year, they are not ripe yet this year]

@Steve_Coates - France has a similar problem. Every child has a stake in the inheritance and you cant sell without the permission of every single member of the family involved and a lot of the time, they just cant be traced. This is why you end up with these abandoned chateau's. At least it was like that when I lived there, they may have changed it.

@Steve_Coates - I never used to like figs until I had them straight off the tree - OMG, so so SO nice and the whole city is full of fig trees, I can just pick them as I am walking my dog on a morning. But my neighbour has an allotment and that have thousands, brings me bags of them... Its small cucumbers at the moment, that are so nice even my dog will beg for them :-D

@Steve_Coates - It is a little bit the same here. We have 85% home ownership with no mortgage cos of evil communism LOL. But almost every family has a 2nd home in a village where they spend the weekends and grow food. Also, there is no absolute right to own agricultural land here, you own the right to farm it and if you abandon that land anyone can take it over and farm it, so there are LOTS of big farms that are now 200 small holdings growing stuff which means food tends to be very locally grown.

@Steve_Coates _ lucky for you! But tragic for the valley. Many places in the world will look similar I fear over the next 10 years of so the way the temperatures are going...

@christopherward5065 - All joking aside. I wrote to the Labout party the other day telling them how sh!t they were, that this govt is proto-fascist and NO ONE is doing anything to stop them from introducing this creeping totalitarianism.
