  1.  @RichardJMurphy  Yeah true - but this was a newly appointed Labout peer and minister saying this, so its likely to happen. I quite like the House of Lords and the hereditary peers, they have saved us from a lot of terrible things over the years. If its to be replaced I DONT want more elected politicians. A peoples assembly of randomly chosen citizens and experts would be good

  2. THEY HAVE ANNOUNCED THIS they are abolishing hereditary peers, imposing an age limit of 80, and some other stuff I cant remember.
