GENUINE QUESTION do you write to the government with these suggestions...??? I wrote to the housing minister [under Labour] about Am3ric4n PE buying up all the houses in my sister's village, saying you can't solve the housing crisis until you stop US PE buying everything. I got a reply back from his PPS asking me to email the minister directly with all the details. Just FYI.

NOT ENTIRELY SURE we should give pensioners a say in things - the last tie we did that we got Brexit...!!!
6
@Skylark_Jones Why would they when they are blamed for everything and ignored ??
4
@stephfoxwell4620 GOOD
4
@stephfoxwell4620 Since when did people over 80 make good decisions...???
3
13 Million pensioners NEED millions of immigrants to come and work and pay tax to fund their benefits payments, to staff the care homes and the hospitals. What do pensioners h4t3 - immigrants.
3
@stephfoxwell4620 YEAH and those 13m pensioners rely entirely on the 12m kids...!!! And it not like they have a great track record these pensioners. This is why we need more kids and immigrants - NO ONE want to live in a Britain run for and by pensioners EXCEPT pensioners.

@stephfoxwell4620 YEP biggest benefit scroungers in the country pensioners, bleeding the young people dry

@stephfoxwell4620 GOOD. 74% of them voted for Brexit and then were not there to even see it happen, but the 10-year-olds have to live with the consequences of their TERRIBLE selfish decisions for the rest of their lives. Old people make bad decisions, its empirically true.
2
@stephfoxwell4620 74% of them voted for Brexit.
2
@unclestephen2722 The chances of me getting to 80 are incredibly slim and if I do I will happily give up my geriatric brain fuddled votes to someone with a stake in the future of the country and NOT subject them to my bigoted and outdated rule. The country belongs to Gen Z and Gen Alpha - at 54 I am already the past.
2
@clementattlee6984 I 100% agree with you - I am sure that when I am 80, if I ever get there, I wil be reactionary old comudgen wanting to go back to 1990 cos my life was GREAT in the 1990's and I dont see why anyone should ahve fun when Im old...!!! The country belongs to Gen Z and Gen Alpha - at 54 I am already the past.

@gio-oz8gf OK BOOMER - HAHAHA
2
@gio-oz8gf OK BOOMER Its LITERALLY published information. You live in a country where the government got 33.7 per cent of the vote. MAYBE you should look up the definition of democracy

@RichardJMurphy , I would write to them and your colleagues, especially about the idea for the BoE policy committee. You might be surprised.

@abody499 Especially AM3RIC4N PE...!!! You can build as many houses as you want, it wont help the housing crisis in PE is just buying up the excess. And why is the UK Govt not setting up "GREAT BRITISH BUILDING" and employing the workers, buying the land compulsory purchase and the materials and just BUILDING the houses. Ir Barat can make money building houses the govt can. Subsidised starter homes - 2 bedroomed home in a unit £75k, as and when YOU come to sell it you can only sell it to another first-time buyer.
1
@abody499 My idea is the central government build houses for sale and the councils build houses as social housing. I am a MASSIVE supporter of social housing, but the advantage of owning a house is you can borrow against it for starting a business etc. I mean I am a communist, so all of this is my idea to reform the system, whereas id prefer to change the system.
