I HAVE BRAIN DAMAGE from a mugging - I have severe short-term memory problems and I DO have bits of days totally missing - I can confirm that a person waking up like this would definitely say 50/50 The argument is a misconception of the nature of memory loss - the memory loss i have - as she has in this experiment - is ABSOLUTE. It never happened - She is 100% convinced its the first time, the idea that it might be the 2nd time would not occur to her cos she 100% knows its the first time because IT IS the first time for her. No matter how many times it has happened - its the very first time. I know this is not quite the answer as its a probability question - but if you actually did the experiment - she would DEFINITELY answer 50/50 Its a profound thing that is very difficult to explain to people. Remember how much it hurt when yo were in that car accident at 12 years old? NO - cos it NEVER happened. You cant even have the conversation cos there is nothing in your head that it links to. The lack of memory is to you absolute certainty in its self that it DIDN'T happen

The hairs literally stood on end on my arms when they pivoted the Mandelbrot on its side... the perfect beauty of it was like a tiny burst of MDMA...

IM SURE ITS 4 but 4 is not an option - the centre of circle A describes a 3R+1R circle around the point that is the centre of the large circle. EDIT - YES...!!! I WAS RIGHT

Unbelevably I got it right - the centre of circle A describes a 3R+1R circle around the point that is the centre of the large circle. If it had been a triangle I would ahve got it wrong.

OH YEAH I never figured. I had a Toyota Supra Twin turbo with an automatic gearbox that used to make random and dangerous "decisions" that would spin the car on motorway sliproads etc. No one could fix it. Im guessing something was slightly out of tolerance and affecting the calculation. Just as both turbos would hit peak boost it would drop down 2 gears.

100% agree. To my mind it's not until you SEE mathematics emerging as a function of the physical world that you truly understand the beauty of it...

@ionbusman2086 - I hated maths at school - I think its amazing now...

THE SINGER 201K is widely regarded as the best sewing machine ever made - it went into production 1935 And they will still cost you $600 to $1200 today

I LOVE THE QUALIFIERS Americans put on the "computer" just so they can claim to have invented it - the world's first "digital electronic programable computer" Cos if you remove any of the qualifiers - other countries invented it

TUBE AMP BUILDERS and designers had NO problem with this - if you have ever built a tube amp, you know all about fields inducing voltage in other wires...

HUNTER GATHERERS did not spend all day every day hunting and gathering. It is estimated they spent 20 to 30 hours a week doing that.

I DONT SEE WHY THIS IS EVEN A PROBLEM The viscosity of air is insufficient to even be sucked in by the vortex the blender creates in liquid So just stand at the edge - the blades do go anything like to the edge - and wait for the blender to be turned off again or thermally overload and trip out they cant run for ever, they are intended to run for like 3 minutes so after maybe 5 or 10 they will overheat and trip out.

Its not even a well thought out question - I DONT SEE WHY THIS IS EVEN A PROBLEM The viscosity of air is insufficient to even be sucked in by the vortex the blender creates in liquid So just stand at the edge - the blades do go anything like to the edge - and wait for the blender to be turned off again or thermally overload and trip out they cant run forever, they are intended to run for like 3 minutes so after maybe 5 or 10 they will overheat and trip out. so the answer is - I do nothing, just stand there
