  1.  @LeoSavantt  This is true - but the UK will NEVER recover from the last 14 years. Im an author on the collapse of civilisations and the UK needs to spend £4 trillion in the next 10 years to get out of this and the budget is £0 and falling. The UK will fall out of the G7 and fall out of relevance. The divisions in the UK will grow - if you have kids make sure they learn foreign languages because they will NOT be raising families in the UK if they are currently young people. The biggest crime currently being committed in the Uk is no one is telling the truth about the situation. The UK economy is bankrupt and none non-functional, it is on a macro scale like Thames water, a financialised corrupt utility incapable of doing even its basic functions. To give the UK and the tiniest chance Starmer needs to introduce UBI and ban private landlords, give them 10 years to divest, the govt buy up the property, nationalise alll utilities and energy cmpanies - double the national debt to pay for it, create inflation to wipe out the national debt and then tackle inflation in 15 years time. There is a 10% chance of this working. but that is ∞ higher than the 0% chance the UK currently has. the US is currently trying a very similar strategy but they are starting from a MUCH better position of not actually being bankrupt. sorry for the long comment
