  1. They might, because it's a three wheeler, so it doesn't have to meet all the regulations for a car. It's a tricycle. And they've worked with the Monro guy who is a logistical automotive engineer, streamlining engineering solutions for the car industry to reduce cost.

  5.  @danw1089  - I had a German-made inverter plasma cutter, it got light use for about 7 years before it became unreliable it cost me about €1700 at the time. I replaced it with a vintage solid wound unit with an internal air pump that cost me €600 and has twice the cut depth. The great thing about the vintage one was I could literally strip it completely and service it.

No - I think its like almost everything automotive, it has got technologically so perfect it has lost ALL character. A neighbour of mine bought an old Citroen BX, not even one of the good classic Cirtoesn like the SM. A 1980's BX and it is SO full of character, at the time it was a plastic POS. But compared to modern cars even this gushes character. There is a perfect aerodynamic shape for a car, there is a perfect safety shape, there is a most perfect engine and when you approach these everything gets the same... F! teams are SO GOOD that they can produce cars of near perfection and therefore identical performance. Me, I think the F1 guys should REALLY mix it up every year, 3 cylinder sump lubricated turbo 2 strokes this year, 4L V4 Deisel next year, 1L inline 8 cylinders the next. Unpredictability is what makes things exciting. F1 is too perfect to be unpredictable, and we cant have tyres exploding for entertainment.

  7. IT WAS OVER A FULL WORKING DAY though. It was the amount of work a horse could do consistently over a FULL day. Horses tire, not as much as buffalo or cows, but they tire and need to rest etc. Whereas a tractor or pump does not. Hence the massive disparity. I had this out with my physics teacher at college. Its 17.64 Kw/h per 24 hour day. A horse cant do that a steam engine can. EDIT - yeah 5 pulls.

  9.  @dancoroian1  I'm not asking you to like it, I'm not demanding that you take my view. Personally, I think it's gorgeous. I'm sick to death of the jelly, mould identical cars we have today. I think the Nobe 3 wheeler is nicer. But I do love this, its what I thought cars wood look like in 2023 when I was a kid in the 70's. I don't like the matte silver, I prefer it to be a gloss paint finish. I think it would look absolutely amazing in high gloss, black.

But my 1970's washing machine does a better job of washing clothes than my sister's €2000 Seimans that she has had repaired about 4 times in 5 years and was literally complaining this morning her clothes still smelled unclean after being washed.

  13.  @Dev1nci  Add to that the missed deadlines cos your computerised thing developed a random - usually intermittent - fault. The great advantage of intermittent faults is they only appear after a lot of work near a deadline and not at the service centre

  17. 3 BOYS DIED YESTERDAY in the UK on a dead straight road in sunny conditions in a head-on collision with a semi - the 4th is in hospital unlikely to survive. Witnesses say they were going at insane speed, went over a slight dip and the momentum as they came up threw them across the road into the path of the truck. Be careful guys, think of the people who love you.

  20. I WISH YOU AMERICANS would stop whining about your dirt cheap tax payer subsidised gas prices... Here in Europe its been over $10 a gallon for 10 years and its now $12 in most places. countries are not allowed to subsidise fossil fuels here.

  21.  @dlazo32696  - Many reasons. You have to decide WHAT to subsidise - we choose health care. You chose gas prices. People in the Mississippi Delta area have a lower life expectancy than people in Bangladesh, the poorest part of the Indian subcontinent. The other reason is the massive pollution your cars cause to your built environment - air pollution is one of the reasons your national life expectancy is going down - unique in the western world. Next is the climate emergency. You have 18 months water left in lake mead, after which 25 million Americas have no water and no electricity... We prefer to live - on balance - in a place where they put more effort into keeping you alive than killing you. AND YES - thank God you live in America...

  27.  @DjDolHaus86  - Its not. On tires that last only 3,000 miles, the limit is like 1.7 seconds. On tires that last 10k miles its 1.9 seconds and "normal" tires its about 2.1 seconds. The point is, We now have the technology to go essentially any speed and to accelerate at any rate. THAT RACE IS OVER YES we can make a street car that does 0-60 under 1 second if the tires last 500 miles. WHO WANTS THAT???

THE FAILED LASER I've actually had really good working ones for my bike - city centre traffic here in Eastern Europe can be very dangerous especially at night A bright red projected BOX around your bike defiantly makes drivers give you enough space - it really worked for me - but they were not $3. They were like $20 each

I TEST DROVE ONE as a potential company car* it was a genuinely fantastic car, incredibly comfortable with a very smooth, very torquie engine, silent, very refined. *My "new" sales managed had moved from Mazda and was trying to bung the order to his mate for the company cars. Sadly - IMO - it never happneed.

  48. FREEVALVE IS SO GOOD that it will keep petrol cars around in one form or another for a good while... Super tiny 2 and 3cyl engines produce 150/200bhp
