@augustooliveira518 - My friend in the USA lives in a $800k house that I would describe as a large garden shed - its entirely wood and not the good variety, It has felt roof tiles like a garden shed as well...

@dee5298 Well I happen to have a lot of knowledge about the porcelain steel sheeting - dont ask. It should basically last for ever, I mean for ever. the only problem would be if you smash the surface cos it is glass so then water gets in and it rusts.

@dee5298 - YEP its made of that and OSB board, that compressed wood chip stuff that has no real strength. Honestly Im not being rude, you would not get a mortgage on it in Europe

@dee5298 "There is just no justification for pine." well there is - profit... Where I live now [Bulgaria] we have an invasive species of tree that grows like a triffid, it will grow to 10m in 5 years its unbelievable. AND its rot resistant. The gipsies make chopping boards and spoons out of it cos it is totally rot resistant. They should definitely farm it for building material

@ikGREENY How are any of those things GOOD...??? And correlation is NOT causation, capitalism didnt CREATE thins things, it just happened to be the system at the time. What capitalism did create is badly educated people who dont know the difference between correlation and causation...!!!

@peterg6695 Socialism, mercantilism, Feudalism - literally any. The only one that relies on killing the planet to exist is Capitalism - it is the INFINITE GREED MACHINE It was invented to extract unlimited wealth out if India for the British and it will never very stop until humanity is extinct.

I've done the maths on that - $10k at the time is $120k today in wage inflation. But its $375k as a % of US national wealth. Which is by NO coincidence, almost exactly the cost of a house like that today. $67 = $804 in today's wages
