The EU does it cos the US tells it to and threatens it. Its not an independent decision. This is why a lot of people over here in the EU are getting sick of it, hence the rise of the far right. Every single person in the EU except the hyper-wealthy has got poorer for the sanctions on Russia and it has made NO difference except to make the EU weaker then the US - people are waking up to the fact this was the US intention all along. Im NOT far right but I understand why people are angry and frustrated. Sucking US **** is making everyone poor YES the US has overused the weaponisation of the $USD this time and its backfiring. Expect chaotic movements in global economics over the next 5 years

@hereticallyconscious This is true but he £GBP had an empire to back its value - the US only has trust that its NO1 to back it and that is collapsing.
