I USED TO COLLECT CUT STONES no one collects diamonds - they are meaningless and next to worthless - people collect either coloured stones or fancy cuts of synthetics I used to collect fancy cuts by the world champion gem stone cutters - if you are going for cut you want the MOST perfect stone to show off the cut, so you go for synthetic. Others collect rare natural and I have a couple of very rare untreated natural hot pink sapphires. But in the industry, NO ONE is interested in diamonds
