I live in ex-communist Bulgaria and I was collecting the stories of ordinary people under communism because their lives were SO different to the image we were told in the west, and so normal yet so alien to people brought up under capitalism. Sadly this came to an end with the Covid lockdowns and me getting long covid. The Bulgarian language didnt have a word for stress until capitalism - they just used the English word стрес Stres I think that says everything...
