@cjr1382 NO - because things made under communism were made to last for ever and be repaired. I live in the former USSR my 1929 tailors iron developed a fault i the electrical connector. I wlaked 40m to the old hardware store and bought a new connector for $2 and 10 mins later it was working again. A 1929 IRON MADE UNDER LENIN you cant replace the battery in a 2021 iPhone....!!! If you remove the profit motive you remove the need to endlessly consume.

@lorigulfnoldor2162 - You are missing the point. They literally don't care if it hits Somalia - no money. If it hits Florida LOTS of rebuilding money. Cos to them for Somalia being destroyed ZERO. Who is doing the poluting Florida or Somalia...??? Florida, does polution make your company more profitable YES, who suffers - Somalia. What can Somalia do about it NOTHING. If climate change causes a hurricaine to destroy Florida what happend - US GOVERNMENT MONEY - BINGO Its a win, win, win, win for Aemrican poluting companies wiht ZERO downsided and ZERO incentive to change.
