HUMAN EMOTIONS LIKE greed, lust and office meetings... I liked that
448
AT 24 I BOUGHT MY FIRST HOUSE is was 2.5X my salary as a telesales person in 1994 YOUNG PEOPLE NEED MORE MONEY...!!! They are not greedy or lazy they just CAN NOT LIVE on what society is paying them. And you wonder why they dont have kids...?
169
@futuza are you Elon Musk's special advisor for Twitter modifications...???
99
OK - Im genuinely not criticising here. I'm old [54] and this bit that worries me "I tried it once. Didn't end well" EDIT - read to the end of the comment for the point I used to do like 20 companies a day or get the Yellow Pages out and start cold calling on the telephone and Id call 50 companies a day. And you know what on an average day 50 out of 50 would say "NO" and I would do that for week after week until someone gave me a job. You have to learn to take regection [and I dont actually mean with Jobs] and keep going my man - cos you know what??? LIFE IS MORE DIFFICULT FOR YOU GUYS...!!! So its even more important that you get used to rejection and just keep going...!!!
57
I WISH I COULD read a book in one sitting, I love reading but it takes me weeks...
43
this was my comment THERE IS MORE SAD TRUTH IN THIS than I care to recognise - when I was there age in the 80's life just got better every year, more money, better cars, pay rises, better jobs, buy a house.
37
Thats cos Trump has galloping dementia and the only word he can remember is tariff. This is not a diagnosis but I bet this is way closer to the truth than any other explanation.
36
@mollusckscramp4124 It really annoys me. As part of my "job" I monitor what Gen Z do online politically and entrepreneurially, they are 100 X more politically and commercially active than we EVER were. My generation's biggest challenge was getting to work on Monday morning cos we were still hung over, Boomers biggest challenge was what free university degree they should do and they should buy a house in the suburbs or have a custom one built. You might think Im exaggerating and I am a little, but my father was an engineer at a power station in the UK, when they got married they had a 3 bedroomed detached house built custom.

Like when I bought a sports car "Its £250 for the colour-coded door mirrors" me "I dont want them colour coded, I want them black, I checked wiht the factory they black before you paint them, I want them black" them "OK - that £250 for special order door mirrors" Me "They are NOT special order - they are "do nothing" door mirrors" Them "Look Ill be honest with you - we dont have a way on the system to NOT charge you £250 for door mirrors, every one buys colour coded" Me "Door mirrors are a legal requirement - you are required by law to put them on a car. I am NOT paying the £250, so your choice is to supply a car without mirrors and I will sue you or overcharge me and I will sue you" them "Please - I just work here" In the end they charged me £250 for the door mirrors and gave me a £250 discount on the car - this was 2002 BEFORE things got bad.

You know how celluloid film is highly explosive when it gets old and becomes chemically unstable - well Gen Alp video essays are like that when new.
30
I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY But not the ones who replied to me on the Man Carry Thing how parents think getting a job works - you guys fully deserve to be young at a time when civilisation is collapsing.
27
@silverjohn6037 DUDE - thats like 50% of your economy there - these are now considered "critical workers". You have an average national IQ of 97.4 - what else are thirty going to do??? You cant fire everyone with a pointless job or your economy does not collapse - it STOPPS.
26
0:12 - is that "STALKER" the Soviet sci fi movie...??? Also - does anyone know if there is a dubbed version, Im severely dyslexic so I cant watch movies with subtitles
25
As a Brit, I can say - rarely the British, the British are rarely the good guys. We had a good spot between 1939 and 45, but mostly its bad stuff.
24
I have a strict policy - I never watch 2 shorts in a row. If I click a short - I watch it, go back to long form content.
23
I keep checking and it's still accurate to this day.
21
THIS MAN HAS all the self-awareness missing from every other YouTuber - in some weird quantum accident, all the missing self-awareness of every other creator was dumped into this man. Thats a hell of a thing to have to carry...
20
@ThereIsHopeInJesusC Well its not really that - its mostly that politicians are almost all 60+ years old and get all nostalgic over paper letters. "OH he respects me, he wrote me a letter like i used to receive in the good old days. He is a WORTHY person, I shall work tirelessly to stop the children running over his lawn"
20
@dennischiu272 We also had Agincourt in 1415, that was a high point. And somehow we managed to turn a defeat by French Vikings in 1066 into a national win - despite the fact that it literally ingraines wealth inequality in the country that lasts to THIS DAY. If you are British with a French surname you are likely in the top 1% - no joke. Its the OG wealth inequality.
15
I wonder if anyone ever watches anything on the watch later playlist - mine is a kind of trash can for lost enthusiasm
14
@ThereIsHopeInJesusC Like if you want a politician to actually do something for you - write a physical paper letter and send it in the mail. Better still - type it on a mechanical typewriter.
14
@billbill6094 Cos he was not saying it in the assertive, he was saying it in the passive "please God give me the strength to deal with these id!ots today" kinda way.
12
IM BRITISH I moved to Bulgaria 15 years ago where strangers in the street will compliment you - it was like a dystopian horror movie to a British person... After 15 years I'm starting to accept it
11
@joefer5360 HAHAHA - its even better than that - one of my jobs was selling toilet paper LOL This was to big factories and offices not to individual people on the toilet
11
IM BRITISH I moved to Bulgaria 15 years ago where strangers in the street will compliment you - it was like a dystopian horror movie to a British person... After 15 years I'm starting to accept it
11
I can only watch 1 short form vertical video at a time if I want to have a good life - they over stimulate my brain and degrade my life I cant feel it at the time - but over the long term my life is worse if I watch lots of them
11
I just wanted to know when Celebrity MILF Chef was on
10
@DroolRockworm The channel is called "Man Carrying Thing" and its just become a daft trend in the comments to speculate what the thing is, thats all.
10
@bluetextonwhitebg That was not really my point. Did you read to the end of my comment...? It was about trying something once and it not working out so you give up and the fact that its even MORE important for you young people to really toughen up [not a pajorative] and get used to rejection cos life IS harder for you than it was for us. The default setting for life is FAILURE. You will fail 10 to 100 x more than you succeed, so you have just got to learn that people saying no and being horrible about it is just the norm. It ONLY matters how many people say yes. It was a general life point not a getting a job point.
10
@elds2001 I do - I deeply worry about civilisation. I now live in Burgas Bulgaria where a working-class person has a family and 2 kids on 1 normal salary in their mid 20's The west is going to completely collapse in the next 30 years because we denied 3 generations of kids a life
10
Or the viruses

Well posited [reads 47 previous comments to see if he is being original]

YEP - and we Europeans told you that doing |"literally nothing" was not going to change a thing. Many of us - me included - gave you specific action plans as to how to bring economic activity in a city to a stop for days on end to extract change... [etc] But we realised - you are 330 million individual people who will never personally s4cr3fice for the greater good. I got told SO MANY times, "Dude if I do that Ill. lose my job" If you are not prepared to lose a job to save democracy, you don't deserve democracy...!!!
8
@darienford860 OK - I have to do this. Your guy Bernie Sanders has been preaching the same message for 45 years, I think there is ONE exception
8
I dont think anyone is actually that dumb, they know he is terrible - they just hate Elon Musk even more. I think you are just feeling unjustifiably superior to them cos you can see a thing that can all see as well, but you chose to dunk on them.
7
@Jessica18010 I watched one video only - that was enough. It was so obviously faked I was embarrassed for the people in the comments.
7
Very clever
7
@ChaosSwissroIl I replied agreeing with you - but it got deleted cos I suggested a DIFFERENT system and thats not allowed.
7
@bluetextonwhitebg Which bit of "its even MORE important for you young people to really toughen up [not a pajorative] and get used to rejection cos life IS harder for you than it was for us" did you not understand. "we've had to endure a hell of a lot more than you could ever imagine". I 100% guarantee I have endured more in my life than you will ever endure - just 3 years of my life were enough for a 100k word book...!!! ANd Im not a Boomer...!!!
7
The worlds maddest electoral system.
7
IM 54 WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS I would not swap it for being 20 today...!!! That is how **** up society is. Id rather be old and ill than young in this world.
6
After being homeless I lived in a completely empty apartment - at first it just rubbed in how bad things were; then I began to like it. Everything you own adds complexity to your life, everything you see needs processing, empty space is a true luxury.
6
Its the linearity of time - it only goes in one direction
6
IM AN AUTHOR on psychology - I have written many scripts for YouTubers - very distressingly I nearly always ended up coaching them through a near breakdown a few months later. The algorithm is essentially an abusive partner.
6
@yeoremuthare677 1) so what if you get made fun of??? 2) why would your coworkers make fun of someone trying to get a job? what kind of weirdos do you work with? If it were my company Id sack your co-workers and hire the guy who came in off the street with his CV to be honest.
6
Im ADHD and autistic and like a total sucker - I've tried to be a nice person my whole life.
6
OR he could just swap it for a really tiny light weight thing and just carry it for ever
6
THIS IS TRUE they actually make content UNINTERESTING cos it distracts people from the other things they are doing whilst Nflx is playing in the background I listened to a podcast with some Nflx employees - it was very depressing
5
Apparently they are nicest people on the internet - my conclusion is, humans suck bots are great
