It makes precisely ZERO sense [it was never intended to it was intended to protect privilege]. You DONT even get to vote for the president you are relying on some people to HOPEFULLY represent your vote when THEY vote for the president. Go on - tell me why your MAD system makes any sense and keep in mind, I live in a country where my vote counts for 1 ONE vote like everyone else and the person with the most votes wins and each party get the same % of the sets as they got votes.
