  1. NO. I worked in the News Paper industry in the 1980's 90's and it was a daily drinking at work culture. The editors and bosses has a bottle of whisky on their desk - that was a mark of seniority. Everyone went to the pub at lunchtime and had 3 pints. THAT is the industry Bojo grew up in and he is hyper privileged so he took it with him and converted every establishment to that way of life. There was NOT a single day in No10 where there were not drinks - I can assure you of this. In many ways he was NOT lying to parliament cos HE did not think these were parties - this was everyday life. It has been like this every day since he was 25. Thi is not a "party" this is "work" I remember the first day I went to work for a company with a "work" culture not a "drinking" culture and I was SHOCKED. It was like a prison camp - I lasted 3 days and went back to my old company. Those days are gone - for all but the incredibly privileged i.e. Boris Johnson. They consider a drink at work an essential part of the job.
