YEP - I did not get a grass playing field at school till I was 13 - grew up in the north of England.

@atrumphasmatis6719 - Well to be honest - unless you live in a swing state and cant make up your mind who to vote for - you don't have any say in it... Only about 500k Americans ACTUALLY have a say - the rest ar just going through the motions. If you REALLY want a say, join the party you hate and vote for the worst candidate ein the primary - THAT is the single easiest way to affect an election. First past the post is an incredibly messed up way to vote.

This is the story of why America is full of idiots In the late 1970's and early 80's computers became a thing and you could process lots of statistical data for the first time. And the political parties did... The data showed the GOP they would be demographic-ed out of existence in a couple of decades. It also showed the GOP that stupid badly educated people - amazingly - voted for them. Voted AGAINST their own interests, as blue-collar workers and for the GOP. So the GOP started to breed their own supporters. They systematically defunded education - in 1976 education was 5.7% of GDP. In 1983 it was 3.4% Some of the specific changes they made were to STOP teaching critical thinking skills, skills that ALLOW people to spot a lie. And it was wildly successful. America now has an uneducated subclass of 35% idiots and it is enough to swing elections.

I'm an author on psychology and the collapse of civilizations and I 100% agree - certainly over 60 years old. Also - the reason they want to ban Tic Tok is its hard to brainwash kids if they have friends in other countries giving them alternative information and world views. Im MORE worried about the effects of old people using social media than young people - but I guarantee you they will legislate to stop Tic Tok before they stop granny using Facebook.
