2000 the G7 was 43% of global GDP and BRICS countries 21%. Today BRICS is 35% and the G7 29%

Why are you laughing? In 2000 the G7 was 43% of global GDP and BRICS countries 21%. Today BRICS is 35% and the G7 29%

@098rwe Well that is NOT the way logic works. China has 1.4 Billion people and the GDP per person has gone from $959 in 2000 to $12,663 in 2022, so if it ONLY increases by say 7% per year which is tiny compared to the last 22 years then the GDP of China will be $36 Trillion in 2032 in none inflation-adjusted 2024 dollars So in outright $ terms, it will have passed the USA PRECISELY BECAUSE ITS POPULATION IS SO LARGE and if it doubles its GDP per capita every 10 years then it will have 2 X the US GDP in 2042, 4 X in 2052. The US is ALREADY REPLACED - it is a mathematical certainty - India will overtake the US in the next 30 years precisely because of the population. India will peak at 1.7 Billion people and the US at 370 million. 1.7 billion is > 370 million By 2050 the US will be a tiny irrelevant economy. Why do you think the US billionaires never shut up about people not having babies...???

@098rwe Im sorry you dont understand how percentages work - to get the doubling time quickly you divide 70 by the % so 15% would give you a doubling every 4.6 years. so lets take the Chinese economy alone - $18 trillion in 2028 it would be $36 trillion - bigger than the US In 2033 it would be $72 Trillion - 9 years. In 2037 it would be $144 Trillion - 13 years As the global GDP is about ~$100 trillion you can see that if you applied 15% growth for 25 to 30 years then China would represent about 96% of ALL global GDP and the US would represent less than 1% Its not your fault you dont know this - this is ultra basic maths you SHOULD have been taught in school, but if they teach you this you won't believe the lies they tell you about the US

@Wvavy Well if we are comparing economies then we should use PPP, but "The combined share of GDP of countries of the BRIC grouping that includes India exceeds USD 60 trillion in 2024" "(GDP) of the G7 countries was estimated to reach 46.3 trillion U.S. dollars in 2023"

@Wvavy No dude - you live in a badly educated fantasy world, Im sorry. You are not even the wealthiest country now - you are 8th You see how badly you are lied to by your media. - what you need is "Richest Countries in the World 2024 - May 3, 2024" You see those people you deride with abuse in your comments, they are better educated and harder working than you. The average IQ in China is 105, in the US its 98...

@solmak47 It is if you are in China
