  6.  @ChristineRead-ck1uq  - Which just goes to show - its complicated. I sympathise greatly with her. Im British living in Bulgaria. My best friend here for 8 years, a REALLY amazing guy who would do anything for you, one of the funniest guys I have ever met - turned out to be a sex trafficker... He was in Bulgaria cos he had fled Ukraine as the police were after him. The something made me suspicious and then he vanished, shortly after the police came to see me.

  8. A brilliant commentator said if you want to know who is in the right and who's in the wrong. Tell the story as a movie with fictional tribes. If this was a Hollywood blockbuster, everyone would be rooting for the oppressed people and their freedom fighters. Not for the oppressors... If you remove the names of the groups, the story is as simple as a 10 year olds Disney movie.

  13. ON 9/11 I WAS UNDERGROUND IN FRANCE under the WW1 battlefield and a guy told us that a plane had blown up in a skyscraper in America and did we know anything about it? Like Rory - we thought he was crazy and ignored it. The next day they evacuated Paris and we were caught up in it - Etondart fighters with exoset missiles under them were screaming low over the buildings. We turned on the radio to the BBC World Service and the first words were "over 300 firefighters are known to have died" - we could not imagine what had happened >>> And the whole of the rest of the 3 weeks in France not one French TV was tuned into it - no one in France gave a sh!t and they refused to turn over the TV's for us.

  19.  @looseSpark  OK - Im ill I cant go into detail. BUY the "believe women" is a reaction to the decades of dismissing them out of hand. It listens to them, believe them and then investigates. It means BELIEVE THERE IS SOMETHING TO INVESTIGATE. IM NOT SAYING ITS A GOOD SLOGAN. But that it what it means, take what they say on face value and INVESTIGATE, cos in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80's they were not believed and there was no investigation. The problem with slogans is they mean a thing and then the powerful redefine what they mean. They did it with Karl Marx's "private property" and they did it with "woke" and they have done it with "believe women" - its the standard tactic of the right wing establishment. Make the slogan TOXIC
