  1. I HAVE A UBI kind of - I wrote a book 8 years ago that sells enough copies each month to pay my basic bills if I am VERY frugal. IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE Since then I have done a degree in Ancient Chinese Philosophy* I have learned to be a tailor of men's bespoke historical suits, I have written 3 more books, I work part-time now due to ill health but I am NOT in a blind panic about the bills. I am hoping to go to China for a few years to write another book. *Ancient Chinese Philosophy was nothing like as interesting as I thought it would be.

  3. Could America Handle Universal Basic Income? ITS ENTIRELY ACADEMIC - AMERICA WILL HAVE TO HAVE UBI AI means that the unemployment rate in 15 years will be 30% - and the people about to be hit with unemployment are the MIDDLE CLASS - i.e. the people making up the bulk of the tax revenue of the USA. and doing the bulk of the spending on houses and cars. The American economy is built on the consumption of the middle class - ergo UBI or the entire economy collapses.

  5. You know it's the middle class that are going to be done away with by AI don't you? Its NOT going to take autoworkers' jobs, its doctors, lawyers, marketing people, middle managers etc. ITS YOUR JOB THAT IS GOING TO VANISH...!!! "It will be unfair to people who would have worked harder to get ahead vs those to lazy to work more than necessary." You won't work harder because you won't have a job.
