@98MAzdaMilleniaS Yeh but on the other had I had to leave the UK due to police harassment - why? The police arrested me as a drugs dealer after a full SWAT style raid on my home for the 1kg brick of cocaine that turned out to be 1kg of gym supplements amino acids my mate had sent me. They emptied my house of everything worth over about £100 as proceeds of crime, handcuffed my naked to a chair, then when they found out it was gym supplements they planed 1/2 tablet of something down the back of the sofa so I could not prosecute them for wrongful arrest - how do I know it was planted, the sofa was BRAND NEW 2 days before. When I went to go pick up all the possessions I laughed at the very very angry officers so for 6 months they pulled me in the car EVERY time they saw me, they stopped every friend and relative who visited me to the point I lost all my friends - in the end I left the UK - that was 14 years ago and not been back since. SO it not like the police are routinely being GOOD PEOPLE is it...???

YEP - I listened to a podcast on policing and punishment in medieval times - it TOTALLY changed my views on police and prisons. Police are there to protect the property of rich people, they pretend to look after you so YOU pay for them not the rich and prisons hurt the family, partners and children of the offender MORE than the offender. If you re a danger to society you are mentally ill and should be in a secure psychiatric facility getting treatment.

@davidbaker1918 Yeah but that is not the origin of the police in the USA, those are the first formal police forces, the slave patrols are one of the origins.
