IN 1994 MY BASIC SALARY WAS £17K I was 24 years old - for a person to have the same standard of living today as that bought in 1994 they would need to earn £44,500 = $57k This was basically a tellesale job for a 24 year old. MY actual pay [cos I was good] was £27k = £70.7k or $90,000 WHAT 24 YEAR OLD EARNS $90K TODAY...??? I had just bought a 3 bedroomed stone built house, I had a Toyota Supra twin turbo, and I was out clubbing 3 nights a week...! Which you COULS do if you earned $90k

@nsbd90now - Im British as you probably gathered. Ive always said - we don't have a "housing crisis" of unaffordable houses, we have a WAGE CRISIS of unlivable wages that was masked by dirt cheap and ever falling prices for consumer goods from China. That has ENDED. Chins is starting to supply their own internal market and the prices are starting to go up. But houses now cost 9 X the average salary in the UK cos wages ahve NOT gone up. The average wage in the UK today is £32k - thats £12k BELOW my basic sallary as a young telesales person in 1994.

You cant - they bought that with their billions. This is the fate of capitalism - it concentrates the money and therefore the power in tghe top 0.01% and they use that to distort the system. The only question now is does the revolution happen BEFORE the technology gets to a point revolution is not possible

@nsbd90now - YEP and all that money the hyper rich got, they used it to buy the system. And now we cant get it back...!!!
