THAT type of sleepwalking is usually too much caffeine - red bull etc. It does not stimulate the mind fully so parts of the brain eventually go to sleep, parts are awake. I had it, went to the doctor, he knew instantly. Its really common these days due to the prevalence of energy drinks.

@JaybayJay - YES - but with this he has object curiosity, the visual cortex is awake and his eyes are open. This is very specifically associated with caffeine stimulation.

@JaybayJay - Ive had very similar actually. So terrifying I dont even talk about them in case of flashbacks. Hallucinations when I gave up alcohol.
