@MyTv- - Hull is weird - it has an amazing history. Its very independent, it has always tried to resist national control. Its more like a European principality than a city.

@garymcmanus9946 - Its also known the world over. Any port town in the world they have heard of Hull. I believe the fishing boats supplied the Soviets in WW2 when surrounded.

@MyTv- - Yeah I always loved Hull, I was supposed to go to university there but life intervened. The old buildings are beautiful - but like many other northers cities, it was destroyed by Thatcherism and has never recovered. There is absolutely no need for it - there is a housing crisis and Hull is full of massive empty shipping line buildings on the waterfront just begging to be turned into flats. Search for this video - I cant post links sorry "The Derelict Lord Line Buildings In Hull, Yorkshire." PLENTY of parking, on the sea front - anywhere else they would be £600k for a 1 bed apartment.
