  1. I STARTED WORK in 1988 in the 2 pints at lunchtime and 3 after work days of the newspaper industry - utterly inconceivable now, just the cost alone would stop you £10,000 after tax going on beer as an 18 year old today.

  5.  @beaulieuc8910  - Well I was lucky that in one respect that I had work colleagues who were amazingly good fun, 18 to 28 years in my life work-wise was just a riot. But the down side was this played the foundations for my alcoholism that had taken hold of me by about 33. So whilst I have fond memories of this period - I DO NOT recommend this lifestyle.
