  4.  @zetectic7968  - USA was the "Arsenal of Democracy" - oh cry me a river. What astonishing codswallop. Communism won the war. "Arsenal of Democracy" I have never heard such dross. D Day was not needed for the Germans to lose. The UK never called on the full resources of the Empire. In the computer models, the Germans LOSE the war even if the successfully invade Britain and the USA never joins the war. The ONLY scenario in which the Germans win is if they beat the USSR. No one else ultimately matters - did they all do their part YES 100%, I take nothing away from any individual sacrifice of any man woman or child. And obviously it would take longer. But Germany loses "USSR would have taken years longer to beat the Nazis not having tanks, aircraft & most importantly trucks to transport all the supplies to the front(s)" the USSR was churning out their own very "tanks, aircraft & most importantly trucks" by the hundred thousand - they built 84,070 T-34s
